Benefits Administration and Technology Analyst

This role is responsible for duties specific to benefits administration and account management support for clients.

• Client in-house service support to our team of Benefit Consultants, Account Executives, Healthcare & Ancillary Business Units
• Possess and maintain working knowledge of group benefits including, medical, dental, ancillary, HRAs, and voluntary benefit programs
• Process administration forms received from clients, including enrollments and terminations for medical and other employee benefit plans
• Provide initial and ongoing HRIS/ Technology support, including building and maintaining benefit plan detailed information within the respective systems of the client.
• Ensure all timeframes and deadlines are met regarding enrollments, and changes
• Evaluate billing and enrollment discrepancies between carriers and clients for resolution, including monthly insurance invoice reconciliation
• Receive, document, and respond to inquiries regarding plan benefits
• Obtain any necessary data needed from client for market analysis
• Create custom employee communications including employee summary of benefit forms, open enrollment guides, new hire guides and enrollment forms
• Perform other duties supporting all aspects of the Benefits Department
• May be assigned special projects on occasion


• Understanding and continued learning of healthcare & benefits terminology
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a time-sensitive environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• HRIS/Technology system experience preferred, or ability to obtain experience of the systems
• Well organized with strong written and verbal skills
• Confident self-starter with desire to learn new things; excels in providing superior customer service
• Work in a team-based environment
• Bachelor’s degree and professional work experience preferred
• NYS Health & Life License will be required (whether currently have or willingness to obtain (company will sponsor)
