Benefits Manager

Position Summary: Collaborate with the Vice President of Human Resources and the Human Resources Director on the management, administration and implementation of benefits, leaves, wellness and recognition for New View Alliance and affiliated agencies.

Position Specific Duties/Responsibilities:
•Collaborate with key individuals to understand needs and design benefit programs that enable attraction and retention of a motivated workforce.
•Prepare ongoing communication regarding employee benefits. Investigate and respond to employee questions regarding benefits eligibility and administration, meet with new employees to provide thorough information on all benefit options and assist them in the enrollment process and design and manage the annual open enrollment process.
•Responsible for oversight of the full life cycle of all Leaves of Absence, which includes but is not limited to: FMLA, state leaves, unpaid personal leaves, Short Term Disability, Worker’s Compensation, etc.
•Manage the administration of the agency’s retirement programs which includes retirement estimates and distributions, leading committee meetings, maintaining fiduciary files and overseeing annual audits
•Oversee the implementation and development of the benefits module in a new HRIS to ensure efficient and accurate enrollments and changes for all benefit and retirement plans.
•Responsible for ensuring that benefit plan agreements and contracts are accurate and up to date. Ensure legal compliance with all required notices and the distribution of notices pertaining to agency provided health and retirement plans.
•Ensure compliance with Federal and State laws, including but not limited to HIPAA, FMLA, PFL, ERISA, COBRA, ACA, etc.
•Manage vendor relationships to ensure high levels of support and service.
•Design and manage employee wellness programs to best meet the needs and interests of employees.
•In collaboration with the HR Team and agency leadership, spearhead employee reward and recognition programs to create a workplace where all staff feel appreciated and valued.

Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred, minimum of 5 years’ experience in Benefits Administration.
