Community Volunteer – 1 Day- Talent Acquisition

Hello Friends,
I am currently recruiting talent acquisition professionals to help train the significant number of dedicated job coaches in our areas on how to better utilize strengths-based profiles using LinkedIn to help further the employment of individuals with disabilities, neurodiversities, and learning challenges. In September, Microsoft and I hosted a free three-week training at the Microsoft South Coast Plaza store for young adults with autism to help them use LinkedIn and other Microsoft tools to create strengths-based resumes, learn soft skills for communicating through LinkedIn and translating all of this into stronger resumes. It was a huge success and the demand for more sessions is more than I can manage on my own, plus as many of you know, the mission of my business is to work with organizations to help them identify how they can hire more individuals with disabilities, neurodiversities and learning challenges.
The over-reaching goal of this program is to help job coaches that do not come from a business and human resource background, how to help their clients. They need us, as human resource professionals, to educate them on how businesses hire and what is required to secure interviews.
I need your help. To accomplish this hefty goal in the four-hours Microsoft and I must train these individuals to help their clients, I will need to break down the last session into small groups. I am asking for 5-8 talent acquisition specialists to volunteer their time to help with these small groups. Here is a list of precisely the commitment I am asking:

  • On January 22nd, come to the Microsoft Corporate Training Center and work with groups from 10:30 am – Noon.
  • Participate in a group or one-on-one call with me to prepare for the session. I anticipate we can accomplish this in a 30-60-minute Zoom session.
  • On your own, review ADA hiring laws.
  • Be patient, kind, and thoughtful while working with the job coaches.
