Director, People Operations

We are seeking a Director of People Operations to lead our people-centered strategy, helping us to make Codazen a great place to work and facilitating a continuation of our growth trajectory. In this role, you’ll be key leader of our administrative team and a close partner to our CEO and Service Operations leadership. You will be responsible for building relationships with people at all levels and fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and belonging. We will need you to implement a transition from fully remote work back to in-person work starting with a hybrid/flexible schedule. This role requires a creative thinker, strong communicator, and problem solver who cares deeply about the experience of all employees. A firm understanding of the professional services business model with a generalist, recruiting, organizational development or learning background is highly desired.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the entire employee experience lifecycle including systems, processes, and resources
· Manage existing HRIS investments including BambooHR, PayScale, Lattice, Udemy, Asana, and applicant tracking system (selection in progress)
· Ensure that policies and procedures are documented
· Schedule regular review of the company handbook, policies and procedures, and forms to ensure they are up-to-date and remain compliant as regulations and company needs evolve
· Recruit and manage the in-house staffing and outsourced services required to effectively operate an industry-leading, people-centered HR department
Talent acquisition
· Oversee the operation and monitor performance of recruiting efforts
· Realize an efficient, scalable system for bringing in top-quality talent
· Protect our brand and ensure a positive candidate experience
Onboarding and talent development
· Understand business growth drivers to address short- and longer-term talent and change management needs
· Conduct new hire orientations and exit interviews
· Identify feedback trends and make recommendations that drive improvements
· Coach managers for higher performance and people development
· Manage annual employee peer review, self-assessments and manager reviews, calibrations, and performance sharing
· Integrate career development into the broader talent management framework (e.g., succession planning, career development, mentor program, internships etc.).
· Drive employee engagement and retention by continuously seeking feedback and developing strategies to address areas of concern
· Identify learning opportunities and develop applicable learning paths within learning system
· Manage employee surveys, conduct analysis, present key findings, and develop a plan to improve gaps
Compensation and benefits
· Coordinate annual compensation range reviews for every position using available industry data to maintain a competitive position for attracting top talent
· Manage the benefit offerings, plan renewals, enrollment, and benefits administration and vendors
Compliance and employee relations
· Educate managers and employees on workplace issues in compliance with applicable multi-state, federal and local employment related regulations
· Liaise with legal counsel to manage H1B immigration cases as needed
· Ensure accuracy of employee data, prepare new hire, and exit documents for payroll
· Assist with general questions around policies and procedures
· Support the design and implementation of new programs and initiatives
· Implement programs to reinforce our learning organization culture

7+ years of experience in a People Operations/HR role
· Experience working in a technology/consulting environment is preferred
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, related field, or the equivalent. Master’s or MBA preferred
· Systems orientation preferred (e.g., BambooHR, PayScale, Udemy, Lattice, Asana)
· Project management skills preferred
· Must have strong working knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations
· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
