POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Assistant

JOB SUMMARY: This position will provide administrative support (e.g., HR communications, recruiting/onboarding, recordkeeping, file maintenance) to the Human Resources Department. Assist the HRD to build and strengthen relationships that support the development of people and overall employee engagement.

Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department, including preparing letters, memoranda, and other correspondence; making copies, filing, scanning, and other administrative functions.
• Assist with recruiting activities, including creating job postings, screening resumes, conducting phone screens, scheduling and coordinating interviews, and tracking candidate status updates through the interview and hiring process.
• Prepare offer letters and supporting documentation for internal and external candidates, including benefit information
• Plan and schedule new hire orientation sessions.
• Ensure sessions are running on time and smoothly.
• Facilitate portions of the sessions and evaluate effectiveness of the program.
• Collect onboarding paperwork on first day of employment ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate new employee notifications, setup files and paperwork, input new employees into ADP and complete orientation preparation.
• Process and maintain personnel records including I-9 files in accordance with state and federal laws.
• Assist in off-boarding activities including creating separation packets, filing unemployment information and conducting exit interviews, as needed.
• Answer employee questions/requests across all HR subjects.
• Process Human Resources, staffing and benefit related bills and invoices.
• Assist in maintaining Lactation Room and issue keys upon request.
• Assist with the creation of credentialing documents for the Sales & Marketing teams as needed.
• Update company communication boards.
• Assist Sr. Human Resources Manager with various research projects and/or special projects.
• All other duties as assigned.

• A.A.S. degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or similar field required.
• 2-5 years Human Resources experience in an administrative capacity required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.

• Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook in a Microsoft Windows environment.

• Effectively interpret and present numerical data; HR metrics.
• Knowledge of HRIS, ADP preferred.
• Positive, can do attitude.
