Human Resources Generalist

The HR Generalist duties will involve assisting the HR Department with activities such as reporting, benefits, employee relations, payroll, and hiring. The perfect candidate would also assist the Talent Acquisition Team with data entry, scheduling interviews or orientation, onboarding, and pre-screening.

Responsibilities Include:

-Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
-Assist coordinating open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs.
-Respond to human resources-related inquiries.
-Assist with payroll and leave processing.
-Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.
-Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation.
-Monitor employee morale and company culture.
-Collaborate with the talent acquisition team to develop effective recruitment strategies.
-Pre-screen candidates for employment.
-Assist in identifying future staffing needs.
-Document complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions.
-Maintain employee personnel records.
-Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.

Required Experience:

-BA in Human Resources plus 3-5 years HR experience
-Proven work experience as HR Generalist and demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office
-Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential
-Understanding of state and federal employment regulations
-Understanding of personnel and compliance records management
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills
-Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
-People orientated and results driven
