Human Resources Specialist

Armstrong Teasdale is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join its St. Louis office. The Human Resources Specialist is trusted with optimizing candidate experiences while interviewing with Armstrong Teasdale. The Specialist will manage all attorney interview schedules and conduct screening interviews. The Specialist will play a large role in professional development and onboarding as well.

Essential Functions:

• Supports the recruiting team with scheduling interviews, screening candidates, and administering the
hiring/onboarding process
• Serves as the chief correspondent for candidates and new hires
• Creates and modifies job descriptions, handles job postings and advertisements
• Delivers orientation to new hires; creates and manages all orientation schedules across all offices for each newly
hired attorney and staff to ensure consistent and productive onboarding and training
• Assists with pre-employment procedures: background checks, new hire paperwork, communication before
orientation; correspond with new hires regarding the status of their paperwork, as needed
• Oversees and monitors the applicant tracking system to maintain organized and accurate records
• Fosters important relationships with potential hires, college career centers and other placement professionals
• Supports the AT Connections and Mentoring programs as part of professional development

Required Education: Associate’s degree

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree

Required Licenses and/or Certifications: N/A

Required Experience: 2-3 years working in a human resources department

Preferred Experience: 2-3 years working in a human resources department with recruiting experience, excellent in Microsoft Office

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A

Physical Activity: The employee will be required to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer
