As the Manager, Leadership Development you will drive the people manager and leadership development strategies and solutions. You are a strategic thinker and designer that prides themselves on implementing engaging and impactful learning experiences. You will plan, design, implement and evaluate programs and solutions that facilitate the development and continuous learning of all leaders. This position ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
*We are planning from the ground up. You will develop detailed project design plans, track progress against project timelines, identify dependencies across workstreams, and collaborate with internal team members, HRBP’s, senior leaders and other stakeholders to accomplish project goals.
*Your content will often be a new employee/manager’s first welcome. You will facilitate and own the onboarding orientation experience for new employees and managers.
*We’ve grown rapidly and have lots of new leaders. You will provide oversight of all leadership development programs, including a newly launched manager program and soon to be launched mid-level leader program.
*You use your credibility and skill to shift behavior. Your experience, facilitation, and/or coaching experience will help leaders connect learning to their everyday work. You will serve as the primary facilitator for all leadership learning events (not to exceed 50% of role) and support other facilitation as needed.
*We know we need more. You will assess the current and future leadership needs of the organization through interviews, focus groups, surveys, and data analysis, and, once you have a strategy in place, you will create/modify programs and solutions to upskill leaders, partnering with the learning team and/or external vendors to help support design of learning materials as needed.
*Use data to make your case. Conduct training needs analysis, manage learning performance, evaluation, and analytics. Benchmark best practices/trends and knowledge of cutting-edge learning approaches.
*Each business unit has their unique needs, so your consultative services to them and their HRBPs will help them grow their leaders.
It goes beyond the classroom. Adopt and apply learning theory/models that support development beyond formal training, which may include informal learning interactions and on-the-job experiences that drive development and continuous learning.
*You will constantly use change management best practices. Drive and lead change efforts by building awareness and support with critical stakeholders and business partners.
*Manage vendor relationships to include negotiations and provide tactical direction and guidance for program deliverables. Ensure they are delivering on expected results.
*What you create will always evolve. Continuously evaluate effectiveness, drive for continuous improvement and innovation in content and delivery of learning to meet the rapidly evolving needs of the business.
*We are just starting the journey of talent management. You will partner with the new Director, Performance & Talent Management in developing high potential leaders.
*The Learning & Organizational Development team works closely together, and as priorities shift and/or new ones are added, we lean in and divide and conquer. There is no doubt you will perform other duties and projects beyond what is listed above.
*Candidates within 100 miles of Orange County, California preferred.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and best-in-class facilitation techniques
Knowledge of current research and new practices in the development of leaders
Ability to facilitate effectively in a virtual environment, leveraging Zoom or Microsoft Teams
Ability to create development solutions that encompass more than classroom learning
Skilled in project and program management, from planning to execution, and to sustainment
Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on data
Ability to lead several programs moving in parallel, manage changing priorities, and manage time appropriately
Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders to gain support and commitment for initiatives
Ability to deliver results with little to no supervision in a dynamic and often ambiguous environment
Bachelor’s Degree preferred and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in a similar field
Minimum two (2) years’ experience facilitating learning events for leaders at mid-to senior levels
Leadership experience to drive conversations and personal examples when facilitating learning events with senior leaders
Experience creating and implementing Leadership Development programs in a large organization and/or functional business unit
Experience facilitating Mind Gym and Franklin Covey content preferred
Coaching individuals and teams experience or certification preferred
Experience with executive coaching and/or executive diagnostics is a plus
