Leave Administrator

As part of the Experian Leave Team, this position is responsible for administering the full leave of absence cycle within the guidelines of federal and state laws and company policies. Provide outstanding customer service for Experian’s employees, managers, and HR partners during the leave and accommodation process to ensure a positive and informed experience. Reports to the Sr. Director, Benefits.

Job Duties:

  • Process full cycle of leave of absence, including FMLA, STD, LTD, Parental Leave, Family Care Leave, Personal Leave, Workers’ Compensation Leaves, ADA reasonable accommodations, return to work, etc.
  • Communicate, counsel, answer questions and provide leave guidance to employees, managers, HR, Legal, third party leave administration vendor
  • Review, process and record Reasonable Accommodation requests
  • Intermittent leave guidance and processing
  • Process applicable Sick, FTO or leave pay through Payroll
  • Monitor and respond to emails received in general Leave email box
  • Interaction with third party leave administration vendor and claims managers
  • Proactively and continuously identify, recommend and implement leave process improvements
  • Back up for other Leave Team members while out of office
  • Leave of absence data analysis


  • 5+ years of experience in US leave of absence administration and ADA reasonable accommodation
  • Deep understanding and application of federal and state disability and paid family leave laws (i.e., ADA, FMLA, CFRA, PDL, etc.)
  • Independent worker and must be able to regularly exercise discretion, handle conflict and be firm when required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to effectively communicate with employees at all levels
  • Organized, detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast pace environment
  • Highest level of confidentiality, professionalism, empathy
  • Strong computer skills, including HRIS, Word, Excel, Access
