Management & Leadership Development – Program Manager

Job Summary

The Program Manager – Management & Leadership Development role is critical to our organizational sustainability as the point person in assessing, designing, and driving the implementation of programs that develop leaders across AVANGRID.

The Program Manager will work across the Talent & Organization Performance team to understand the developmental needs of emerging, first-line, and non-executive leaders and meet those needs with innovative, relevant, business-driven programs. The incumbent will collaborate with business leaders to ensure alignment with business goals and with Talent & Organization Performance colleagues to ensure alignment with the overall talent strategy and desired employee experience. The position is located in Orange, CT with occasional travel to all service area locations.

Major Roles & Responsibilities
Needs Analysis – develop an in-depth understanding of the development needs of leaders at non-executive levels, including emerging leaders. Collaborate with business leaders to ensure business alignment, buy-in, and support.
Design development programs using the 70-20-10 model to address the defined needs. Align programs with the global behavioral model.
Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make adjustments to ensure success.
Manage and monitor implemented programs.
Source the development and delivery of programs as needed.
Keep up to date on latest trends and innovations in adult learning theory, management and leadership development, and development technologies.

Required Education:
BS/BA Degree + 3-5 years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience with at least 2 years’ experience in leadership development

Required Experience & Training:
Excellent written and verbal communication – writing samples are required.
2-3 years’ experience as an instructional designer – needs analysis samples required
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with collaborative work style
Proactive project management
Must be able to work independently and also within a team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent active listening and facilitation skills
Demonstrate extremely strong analytical skills, as well as personal organizational skills.

Preferred Experience:
Experience working in a global organization balancing collaboration and coordination between global and local initiatives, best practices and recommendations.
Ability to speak Spanish highly desired.
