Overview

ACG is transitioning from operating as a subsidiary of Pacific Life to ownership by Tokyo Century Corporation, providing an opportunity for the HR management team to both create and define the future HR practice within an established, successful organization. Building on a strong foundation of existing processes, the HR Manager will help support the continuing evolution of the company’s strategic vision and execution of their objectives.

Supporting 150 domestic employees, you will operate in a setting intimate enough to influence and navigate effectively, while providing interesting challenges. You’ll perform a wide variety of complex tasks, blending both tactical and strategic work.

This role will make an immediate impact effectively managing the payroll function and participating in the benefits program, while enjoying the security of working for a proven company.

Responsibilities
The Sr. Payroll & Benefits Administrator is responsible for overseeing and administering the global payroll program with heavy involvement in payroll laws and benefit payments.

Payroll & Benefits
•Support set up and ongoing maintenance/coordinate with external provider for US Payroll and global payroll operations
•Approve payroll calculations and transactions provided by external payroll provider(s)
•Audit payroll transactions to ensure all amounts and payment dates are accurate
•Calculate and approve one-time or permanent changes in payroll (e.g. salary increases, tax deduction, bonuses, expense reimbursements)
•Approve payroll transactions
•Report on compensation activities and forecasts
•Ensure compliance with all federal and state tax laws
•Stay up-to-date with labor legislation and any changes in employee insurance and tax regulations
•Collaborate with Finance and HR to create payroll reports and forecasts
•Develop and administer HR plans, programs and procedures that relate to team members

•Assist in administering the organization’s benefits programs (e.g., retirement plans, leave policies, wellness programs, insurance policies, etc.) and reconciling the monthly health ins bills
•Partner with Human Resource Manager to assist in making recommendations based on analysis of benefits plans, programs, and policies

Attributes For Success
•5+ years of Payroll or HR related experience (US and International)
•ADP Workforce Now (3-5 yrs)
•Experience with non-qualified deferred comp plans, SERP, 401(k), and other benefit plans
•Familiarity with HRIS
•Strong knowledge and understanding of state payroll laws and regulations; especially related to time and attendance and payroll tax withholdings (US and International)
•Experience reconciling and paying health ins bills
•Excellent with numbers and spreadsheets
•Excellent verbal and written communications and strong interpersonal communications
•Must have and strong understanding of and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)

Education
•Bachelors Degree (preferred but not required)
•Member of a payroll association

*Level will be commensurate with experience.
