All of us work with others. Sometimes those professional relationships are important enough that we call them a “partnership”. But what does partnership in the workplace really mean? What makes a handful of our partnerships exceptional while most are mediocre, frustrating, or even a disaster? And why do these work partnerships matter so profoundly to our well-being and success?

About the Presenters:
Seth R. Silver, Ed.D. is the principal of Silver Consulting, Inc. He works with organizations to improve leadership, workplace culture, employee engagement, professional relationships, and performance at the individual, team, and division levels. He was also a part-time professor of Human Resource Development, teaching Master’s-level students for 14 years. His book, co-authored with Tim Franz, is titled Meaningful Partnership at Work: How The Workplace Covenant Ensures Mutual Accountability and Success Between Leaders and Teams. Timothy M. Franz, Ph.D. is Professor and Chair of Psychology at St. John Fisher College. His areas of expertise are team development, leadership development, and conducting applied research in organizations. He has authored or co-authored numerous articles and four books, including Group Dynamics and Team Interventions: Understanding and Improving Team Performance, Making Team Projects Work: A Resource for High School and College Educators (coauthored with Lauren Vicker), Meaningful Partnership at Work: How The Workplace Covenant Ensures Mutual Accountability and Success Between Leaders and Teams (coauthored with Seth Silver), and Making Team Projects Work: A Toolkit for Students (coauthored with Lauren Vicker).
