Britt Sellin is passionate about people and their collective strength in an organization. She believes marrying business strategy with a positive culture and the individual needs of employees is the most important work any Human Resources professional can do. She focuses on enabling company success through creating a culture, programs and infrastructure that meaningfully align to business strategy while supporting employees. The majority of Britt’s career has been in fast growing technology companies.
As an Executive Advisor for BetterUp, Britt continues to pursue her passion for organizational effectiveness and transformation through employee success via BetterUp’s proven solutions and customers. In Britt’s previous role as Cloudera’s SVP of HR, she built the HR function over six years while enabling company “hyper” growth: taking a pre-IPO Cloudera with 300 employees in two countries to a public company with revenues of approximately one billion dollars and 3,000 employees operating in twenty eight countries. She also sponsored and grew Cloudera Cares, an employee-led philanthropic effort.
Britt has held a variety of executive roles at other companies including VMware and Sun Microsystem. Britt holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. She also spoils her rescue dog, Harley, rotten. He doesn’t seem to mind.
