ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Kate Terrell – Chief People Officer, Aktana

Kate joined Aktana in 2019 as the Chief People Officer. Aktana is a global technology company whose mission is to inspire better patient care by providing the world’s best, most versatile intelligence platform for strengthening the relationship between life sciences companies and health care providers.

Formerly, Kate was the SVP and CHRO at Driscoll’s, the worlds berry company. There she was accountable for building and delivering the people strategy while redefining the company’s approach to talent management.

Kate has a unique background that spans over 20 years across a variety of Human Resource, Learning, Change Management, and Consulting experiences, working in mid and large comapnies. Kate’s passion is in talent development and teaching organizations how intentionally and actively manage their cultures. Her resume includes companies such as Accenture, Whirlpool Corporation, Limited Brands, and Eagle Family Foods (a GE Capital/Warburg Pincus Joint Venture).

For over 20 years, Kate has been affiliated with LeaderShape Inc, a non-profit, leadership development organization who focus is to help young adults learn to live and lead with integrity while creating a just, caring, and thriving world. She joined their Board of Trustee’s in 2011 and was board chair from 2018 until 2020. Kate received her BBA from The Ohio State University.

Kate lives in Santa Cruz, CA with her husband, David, daughter, Reece, and their dog Tally. She loves the outdoors, fitness, and cooking.
