Rochester, NY Mental Health in the Workplace: Responding to COVID 19 and Beyond

Program Description:

This session will provide education to participants regarding the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on employee mental health. It will discuss the productivity and financial repercussions of presenteeism and absenteeism due to unidentified/untreated mental health in the workplace. In addition, it will suggest strategies to assess the efficacy of the mental health portion of organization “wellness” programs. It will introduce participants to the necessary components for creating a post-COVID pro-mental wellness organizational culture. Finally, it will provide resource and program opportunities to increase their own mental health literacy and the literacy of their staff to understand, identify and respond to individuals experiencing emotional distress or a mental health challenge.

Date: Tuesday, 4/13/21 | 8AM – 9AM EST

Cost: $10 for NHRA members; $25 for non-members

 

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will learn attention to mental health issues in the workplace is imperative for organizational success
  • Participants will learn how to assess their current strategy for responding to mental health in your organization
  • Participants will learn components for creating a post Covid culture of mental wellness in your organization

 

Speaker:                        

Megan Clifford LCSW-R, founder of Wellness Associates of Greater Rochester, has over 20 years of experience as a social worker, psychotherapist, trainer and consultant. Megan’s primary focus outside her psychotherapy practice is providing mental health literacy education to corporations, municipalities and non-profits as a Certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor. Megan also provides organizations with assessment and designing mental health components of wellness programming. She lives in Brighton with her partner, (Peter) two daughters (Grace and Marin) and 3 dogs (Snoopy, Lucy and Stella)
