Join us for an engaging workshop event learning effective conflict resolution skills including how to de-escalate conflict using listening, reframing, and question-asking techniques and how to apply active listening skills during group instruction and role-playing events.

Learning objectives:
– De-escalation techniques including listening, reframing, and question-asking techniques. (to be used in terminations, performance conversations, employee relations, and investigation situations)
– Ability to apply listening skills during group instructions and active role-play activities during the presentation/workshop

Speaker Bio

Conflict Resolution Institute is a community-based nonprofit established in 1990. They provide conflict resolution training, dispute resolution, and community forums to individuals, businesses, and government agencies in Ventura, Santa Barbara, and LA counties. Your presenter is board member Philip Young, who has an extensive background in HR. He is a consultant and mediator with broad industry experience in large and small organizations. Having served as Chief HR Officer, VP of HR, and Director of HR, Philip understands and appreciates the complexities of the HR professional’s daily challenges.
