Silicon Valley – Mastering Difficult Conversations While Working Remotely

November 15 @ 5:15 pm 7:30 pm PT

While the ability to work virtually prevented business from closing and unemployment numbers from rising, working remotely has presented enormous challenges. Physical separation makes it more difficult to develop positive working relationships. A sense of isolation lowers our level of trust while increasing our feelings of conflict. At these times, communication breakdowns occur, and what is said by coworkers or clients can easily be misconstrued.

Whether your organization works remotely, hybrid, or 100% in the workplace, it’s critical to equip employees to overcome the inevitable communication challenges that arise while working. When people have the skills to effectively talk, listen, and collaborate amid challenges, they create safety, build trust, and experience a greater sense of inclusion and belonging.

Learning Objectives:

  • Develop strategies for effectively talking, listening, and collaborating when opinions differ
  • Step up and address sensitive issues such as cultural insensitivity, etc.
  • Build more productive working relationships
  • Increase employee performance and team productivity
