St. Louis, MO Webinar: Workplace Issues Associated with Operating During a Pandemic


In lieu of meeting in person on March 26, NHRA-STL we will be conducting a webinar on “WORKPLACE ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH OPERATING DURING A PANDEMIC.”  This will be a timely discussion for all of us.  Our previously scheduled interactive HR presentation will be rescheduled to June.  More information will be presented in the coming months.

If you are already registered for the March 26 meeting, you will be emailed login information for the webinar (no need to re-register).  All members are welcome to sign into the webinar.  We will begin at noon and conclude by 1 p.m.  If you have not yet registered, please do so by clicking the link below and then you will be provided with the login information.

We will be applying for HRCI and SHRM credits.

We are sailing in uncharted waters. Everyday – often every hour – circumstances change warranting a different course than what had been agreed upon. In an effort to assist employers avoid potential legal pitfalls during these difficult times, we will be discussing various issues, including:

  • Legislative efforts to provide assistance to employees
  • Enforcing policies and procedures, such as attendance, leave of absence and working from home
  • ADA, FMLA and other statutory obligations
  • Employee and visitor safety

ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS: Stephen B. Maule and Brian M. O’Neal of McMahon Berger, P.C.


Stephen B. Maule practices in all areas of labor and employment law, including litigation, client counseling, and document preparation and review. Stephen relies extensively on his legal education and experience in serving the Firm’s clients.



Stephen handles all facets of employment law, including litigating employment discrimination claims as well as investigating and responding on behalf of management to  employee  claims before  Federal  and  State  administrative agencies. He has appeared in Federal and State courts and administrative agencies  throughout the country. In addition, Stephen advises clients on employment-related matters such as personnel policies, daily human resources issues, employment contracts, severance agreements and employee handbooks.



Stephen provides various services in the labor area, including representing management in arbitration, NLRB elections, objections to elections, collective bargaining, strikes and injunctions, and unfair labor practice charges.


Affirmative Action

Stephen has extensive experience handling issues before the OFCCP, including preparing Affirmative Action Plans, assisting clients with Compliance Reviews, and compliance with the applicable Executive Order and regulations.



Stephen further provides counsel to clients on immigration matters and assists in preparing and filing various  immigration petitions  with  USCIS  on behalf  of employers, including H-1B, TN, L, and permanent residency. Stephen also represents employers in investigations conducted by ICE.

Brian M. O’Neal represents the interest of management in all areas of Labor & Employment law. Brian’s experience prior to joining McMahon Berger includes general defense litigation in Missouri and Illinois representing corporations in lawsuits ranging from medical malpractice to employment-related issues. Brian also served as a law clerk at the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District for the Honorable Gary M. Gaertner, Sr.

Brian’s employment practice includes all facets of employment law, including employment discrimination claims under Title VII and the Missouri Human Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. He is involved in litigating employment discrimination claims as well as investigating and responding on behalf of management to employee claims before administrative agencies. In addition, he advises clients on employment-related matters such as employment contracts and daily human resources issues.
