Presentation Overview:
What is Unconscious & Implicit Bias? We cannot address it if we do not know what it is or how it shows up in our decision-making. Regardless of our ethnicity, gender, nationality or social economic background, and regardless of how open-minded you may think you are; we are ALL guilty of unconscious bias. Sometimes it shows up as a fleeting thought as you pass someone on the streets, or a snap judgement you make about someone you meet for the first time. Through candid conversations, open dialogue, and real-world examples, this session will uncover the shocking truth of how Unconscious & Implicit Bias shows up in our daily decision-making and how it can impact the workplace, employees and overall productivity. Live facilitated training includes interactive activities, videos, and live Q&A throughout the session, along with follow-up resources to help continue individual learning.

Risk and Safety Q&A Panel – Questions that Managers and HR should ask Employees
The safety of a company's employees is a priority for many professionals in management or leadership roles. One way to discuss safety with employees is to ask safety questions that assess their understanding of proper safety measures in the workplace. Making sure that employees know how to protect themselves can allow you to make a workplace more productive and safe for everyone who works there.
Subject Matter Experts in the discipline of Risk and Safety will be facilitating a Q&A Panel discussion answering relative and critical questions to help safeguard the workplace. The Certified Safety Professionals with well over 20+ experience from BBSI will speak into chemical safety, hazardous waste, environmental reporting and lean & quality manufacturing and facilities management. The consultants will use their expertise and diverse skill sets and backgrounds with BBSI clients to help offer those in attendance insight on ways to transform safety programs and culture.
Performance Feedback Culture
A company culture based on feedback can result in greater alignment with organizational values, improved engagement, and increased productivity. Achieving such an open culture is no easy feat. Employees tend to shy away from sharing their perspectives and managers often lack the skills to deliver feedback effectively. In this session we will review an organization’s approach to building a feedback-friendly culture, including a five-step plan to fuel feedback within the organization.
Aligning HR Programs with a Feedback-Forward Approach: Methods to ensure that HR programs are synchronized with the principles of a feedback-forward organization, promoting ongoing development and constructive communication.
Leadership Engagement for a Feedback-Forward Culture: Approaches for leaders to actively participate in reinforcing a culture that emphasizes continuous feedback and improvement.
