Description
There's an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing software firms in the real estate industry! Yardi Systems is hiring for a full time HR Generalist to join their brand new office in Oxnard, CA!

The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing the leaves of absence process for employees across the Yardi organization to include, short term and long term disability, family medical leave, military leaves, paid parental leave, personal unpaid leaves and worker's compensation.

The HR Generalist will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
Explaining and confirming policy and plan eligibility, protection rights, and approvals or denials of leave to employees and managers, while adhering to strict policy and compliance guidelines
Monitoring all leave communications to ensure accurate and timely correspondence with employees, management and HR throughout the leave process.
Confirming and documenting leave related absences and eligibility and completing all required tasks in the HR system
Following standard procedures, and local, state and federal guidelines for all leave types
Researching and providing documentation for any leaves that require escalation
Working with payroll to ensure employees on applicable leaves of absence are processed appropriately and timely within the payroll system
Work with collaboratively with other HR team members to ensure company's compliance with any restrictions or accommodations requested by the employee's medical care provider in support of the employee returning to work
Responding to inquiries and providing information to employees regarding paid time off (PTO), sick leave and floating holidays
Providing detailed reporting on a regular basis to the VP of HR regarding current leave statuses, etc.
Providing any necessary training to managers or employees in support of HR compliance
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field:
3-5 years of experience in Human Resources with a focus on employee leaves
Working knowledge of HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, ADAA, and other applicable compliance requirements
Working knowledge of state and federal worker's compensation laws
Ability to communicate complex policy information and/or changes to stakeholders
Excellent organizational management skills and superior accuracy level
Ability to work independently and prioritize while managing multiple priorities in a deadline drive environment
Prior experience with an HRIS or leave tracking software
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
