As the Recruitment & Training Specialist for Greenpeace's Frontline canvassing program, you will assist in the design, development and implementation of the programs foundational diversity and social media recruitment strategies. As the ideal candidate you won't be satisfied with simply sourcing and recruiting diverse candidates. You'll have a passion for thinking strategically, learning Greenpeace and the Frontline program holistically, consulting with your colleagues and analyzing data. You will partner with a broad group of stakeholders across geographies, levels and functions. Additionally you will have a track record of solving problems through proactive resourcefulness and creativity. You will report directly to Greenpeace's Deputy Director of People and Culture and maintain regular engagement with Greenpeace's National Canvass Director and the Frontline Training & Innovation Director.


    Participate in the development of diversity & social media recruitment strategies including but not limited to, developing deliverables, and timelines, metric and process analysis, benchmarking, building key external partnerships, and creating budget forecasts

Recruiting & Relationships

    Manage full-cycle recruiting process for our Frontline program ensuring a professional, positive candidate experience
    Partner with Senior City Coordinators to develop a sourcing strategy for current and future needs.
    Create innovative strategies to build a strong, diverse talent pipeline and recruit in a variety of venues.
    Source candidates from relevant networks, online and internal databases, employee referrals and passive candidates through networking and research
    Partner with internal stakeholders to organize and execute engagement activities with target schools, organizations and diversity partners
    Develop partnerships that support external organizations and help to attract a more diverse candidate pool
    Ensure that all aspects of recruitment are clearly documented for hiring managers
    Meet regularly with City Coordinators and develop systems to ensure that recruitment strategies are driven from the city level
    Other responsibilities and projects as requested by your manager


    Track talent acquisition metrics and provide regular reports and updates that closely monitor our progress, and uncover opportunities for improvement
    Develop, maintain and report on the Frontline recruitment metrics weekly, monthly and Year-to-date
    Utilize data to inform test ideas and strategy changes in Frontline Recruitment


    Educate hiring managers on recruitment best practices
    Identify new diversity recruitment tools and envision regular events and initiatives to increase the diversity of our candidate pipeline
    Remain current with and educate managers on EEO and diversity-related laws, regulations, and policies


    Bachelor's degree in a related field or 2-4 years of recruitment experience in a canvass or sales environment


    Proven ability to train and manage team members
    Proven ability to plan, execute and develop recruitment strategies and tests of various durations and sizes
    Two or more years of training experience
    1-3 years of staff recruitment experience in a canvass, sales or retail environment
    Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion

    Experience in a fast-paced environment
    Excellent written and verbal communications skills
    Experience sourcing candidates through multiple channels (web/social/professional networks, etc.)
