NEWLY CREATED POSITION TO SUPPORT OUR U.S. SALES AND MARKETING TEAMS.

As a strategic partner, the HR Manager supports the alignment of business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. This position will partner with the Americas Commercial Team.  Serves as a consultant to leaders and employees on Human Resource related issues. Successful HR Manager will act as employee champion and change agent. Manager assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business leadership, the HR Manager seeks to develop integrated solutions. Supports partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added service to leaders and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. Maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit supported. Major areas of focus are employee relations, employee engagement, talent acquisition and retention, talent life cycle management and employee communications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Act as the main point of contact for employee concerns and employee relations issues; escalates to HR leadership as necessary.
• Partner with recruiter in supporting talent acquisition process, ensuring alignment with proper succession and high potential planning in line with the defined strategy and needs of the business. Ensure continual performance improvement within the functions, driving processes to facilitate improvement.
• Assess and identify employee development needs and make recommendations for Learning & Development needs. Communicate same to HR and L&D leadership
• Act as coach to managers regarding Performance Development Plans, progressive discipline, and Performance Improvement Plans
• Own the HR onboarding for assigned business units,  continuous development of the onboarding framework in partnership with the other departments, measure for effectiveness
• Consult with employees and managers to address root causes of issues and resolve through a systematic and analytical approach, including investigations.
• Ensure consistent discipline practices and legal compliance.
• Partner to provide guidance and expertise in compensation programs
• Provide thought leadership and tactical assistance during all initiatives that require change management expertise
• Ensure compliance with Company policies and ensure a consistent practice. Work with HR leadership to proactively Identify problems central to business strategy and forecast potential obstacles to success.
• Supports an environment of process improvement
• Participate in business project teams as appropriate.
• Support and potentially manage small and medium scale projects across multiple facilities and departments
• Support all company Human Resource initiatives
• All other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
• Comfortable working in a matrix and constantly changing organization
• Ability to understand issues domestically and internationally and communicate effectively with colleagues and business partners
• Demonstrated ability to skillfully communicate with all levels of employees and leadership, influence outcomes and establish credibility as a skilled Human Resources Business Partner
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible, self-directed and take initiative to identify and anticipate needs and make recommendations for solutions implementation
• Excellent client management and business literacy skills
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Normal office environment
• Light physical effort necessary to perform the job
• Sitting 90% of the day at a designated work station
• Some travel (20% or less domestically, 5% internationally)

EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources Management, Business, Psychology or related field
• Master’s degree or PHR certification a plus
• Additional certifications considered a plus

EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources with significant expertise in employee relations
• Previous experience supporting a sales organization required
• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation and benefits administration,  communications, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws
• Experience implementing HR policies, procedures and process improvement
• Experience working with HR shared services/service centers  a plus
