Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•   Provides HR leadership and guidance to influence plant management on HR items;
• Builds network and interacts regularly with plant HRM and Assistant HRMs;
• Partners with plant management to address employee issues;
• Supports Talent Acquisition and Training & Development priorities;
• Monitor labor costs and turnover;
• Facilitates completion of HR processes
• Provides HR leadership and guidance to influence plant management on HR items, including Organization Structure, Compensation, Recognition, Communication, and, Engagement;
• Monitor labor costs and turnover, recommending actions to address;
• Builds network and interacts regularly with plant HRM and Assistant HRMs Partners with plant management to address employee issues, including discipline;
• Supports Talent Acquisition and Training & Development priorities;
• Facilitates completion of HR processes, including Talent Acquisition, Training & Development, Onboarding, Performance Management, Payroll, and, Benefits;
• Ensures application of HR laws, policies, and guidelines 
• Serve as interface with Union;
• May manage Security resources;
• May fulfill Safety responsibilities;
• May facilitate random drug screen program;
• Complete Special Projects

Supervisory Responsibilities:  Supervises employees in the HR Department within Manufacturing & Purchasing.  Incumbent is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:
Education
• Masters or Bachelor degree - preferred

Experience
• 8+ years in HR – required
• 5+ years in manufacturing - preferred
Specialized Knowledge
• Union negotiation – preferred
• HR systems - required
Skills/Abilities
• Ability to communicate and build rapport well with all levels – required
• Display confidence and assertiveness while influencing others – required
• Demonstrate strong project management and analytical skills – required
• Act swiftly and creatively in fast-paced environment with ever changing needs - required
Professional Certification
• SPHR or PHR preferred
