Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

•Stays abreast of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
•Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. Advises and counsels employees and managers with employee relations matters such as disciplinary programs/processes and conflict resolution to ensure issues are managed legally, ethically and in the company's best interest
•Actively work to establish close trust-based relationship with business unit's senior management to ensure that business objectives and HR objectives are linked. Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
•Conducts workforce analysis, to assist in the development and execution of programs supporting staffing requirements. Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions for operational staffing levels
•Coordinates and provides management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment
•Plans and conducts new hire orientation to fast track integration into the organization and foster a positive attitude toward company goals/objectives and strategy
•Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting

Required Experience
Education Required or Equivalent Experience: Bachelor's Degree with 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Education Preferred: Master's Degree

Related Experience Required: 5 years related experience in HR field; Proficient in HRMS, Microsoft Office Excell and PowerPoint; Presentation skills; Management experience

Related Experience Preferred: 7 years related experience in HR field

Registration / Certification Required or Preferred:  Preferred - An individual should hold certifications in FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FLSA to perform this role successfully. Preferred SPHR

Must have a valid driver’s license
