• Function as a strategic business advisor to the leadership team regarding key organizational issues and implement programs that effectively communicate and support Home Leasing’s vision and strategic plan.
• Translate strategic plans into HR operational plans to support the achievement of business objectives, understanding and communicating opportunities to maximize the return on investment in human capital.
• Coordinate and conduct new employee onboarding that fosters a positive attitude and understanding of company goals, culture, core values and mission.
• Oversee and ensure processing of weekly and bi-weekly payroll and coordinate payroll reporting requirements, including quarterly reports, W-2 filing, and ACA compliance.
• Coordinate all employee benefits such as life, health, and dental insurance, PTO, leave of absence, 401k, workers’ compensation, unemployment, short term disability and fulfill all external benefit reporting.
• Perform monthly reconciliation, invoice processing, and management of employer HSA and HRA plans
• Maintain a compliant Employee Handbook.
• Establish and maintain up to date job descriptions for all positions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
• Manage employee relations including progressive discipline and separations.
• Process all paperwork required for both new hires and following an employee separation.
• Manage the employee time and attendance system.
• Manage all HR-related reporting including OSHA 300 Logs and EEO-1 reporting to ensure full compliance with all state and federal and local legislation.
• Other Human Resource duties and support as needed

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; 5 to 10 years related experience and/or training preferred.  PHR or SPHR certification preferred.  Ability to work well with others and good communication skills; computer skills necessary to fulfill the duties of the position.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Regularly use hands for phone and computer keyboard.  Frequently stand, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and stoop. Sit and stand to do clerical work.  Regularly lift and move office supplies up to or over 10 lbs.

TYPICAL WORK CONDITIONS:  Work is performed in an office environment but is dependent on need and season.  Employee will visit properties.  Employee frequently interacts directly with staff, company vendors, contractors, and other partners during the workday.
