Job Summary
The HR/Benefits Specialist is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Sr. HR Manager in our Newport Beach office.  In this position you will be responsible for overseeing the Company’s Leave Administration process on a multi-state level, including but not limited to Family Medical Leaves: Pregnancy, Maternity & Paternity Leaves, Military Leaves, Workers ‘Compensation Leaves, Disability Accommodation, as well as internal company-provided leaves.   In addition, supports the Sr. Benefits & Payroll Analyst in administrating benefit and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan and other general human resources responsibilities.as a member of the HR team.
The ideal candidate will have multi-state leave administration experience, in a fast-paced environment, preferably in a large organization with 500 or more employees.  Able to work with third-party administrator and related HRIS/Computer based systems, continually research new and changing leave laws to ensure company compliance; and communicate with employees and their managers throughout the leave process.   Needs a positive attitude and willingness to pitch in as part of the HR team when needed.
Qualifications/Experience
• Minimum five (5) years Leave and Benefits Administration and HR Generalist experience,     preferably in a multi-unit, multi-state company. Experience in real estate, property-management or related industry a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, mainly Word and Excel
• Experience working with ADP WorkForce Now & Kronos timekeeping systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must possess a professional and friendly image at all times.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to use discretion and handle sensitive/confidential information
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details
Education
• Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field of study.
• SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification preferred

Salary Range $60,000 - $70,000 annual
