Description
The Director, Talent Management & Learning will be the architect for assessing, developing, implementing and evaluating talent development strategies and programs for the Edwards Information Technology and Finance populations globally.

This position creates pro-active and responsive L & D solutions while seizing opportunities for continuous improvement in individual, team and organizational performance especially as it pertains to optimal utilization of system capabilities and processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct learning needs assessments, developing recommendations, solutions, programs and curriculum that will increase the capability of employees and the organization to perform effectively and efficiently. Assess trends and anticipate future use of vendors and training programs by proposing best in class practices. Evaluate current and future learning and leadership programs for implementation within the global Finance and IT organizations.
  • Develop a talent management and learning strategy based on a deep understanding of current practices, current capabilities and future needs.
  • Consult and partner closely with senior leaders to prioritize, design, develop, and lead the implementation of strategic talent development curriculum and plans.
  • Assess organizational, system and functional gaps with the Talent – Capabilities and Competencies Road Map to design and develop effective programs/solutions
  • Partner with department staff, subject matter experts (SMEs) and key stakeholders to define end-user requirements for technical, professional and soft skill development programs.
  • Create Knowledge Base for storage of training materials and documentation which may include business processes and procedures.  Ensure proper accessibility and quality of all training materials.
  • Redesign and lead the implementation of new hire on-boarding for IT and Finance professionals. Design and create on-the-job training and other learning and developmental activities required for developing core and technical competencies, and maintenance of required knowledge and skills.
  • Deliver, facilitate, and design effective audience specific trainings targeted to the various learning styles of professional and higher-level employees. Develop and deliver training including, instructor-led, multimedia visual aids, online web-based programs, educational materials, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, workshops, etc.
  • Identify key metrics and develop evaluation processes to ensure learning and development program effectiveness. Perform complex cost analysis of results and ROI in training and identify potential improvement opportunities and propose and implement solutions to optimize training process.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to leverage Talent Development Reviews and performance management processes and tools in order to build effective development curriculum and plans.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field with 14 years of experience or Master’s degree in related field with 12 years of experience.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Proven expertise in usage of MS Office and Learning Management Systems.
  • Expert understanding of related aspects of learning and development processes and systems.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Influencing and relationship management skills required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to perform in an environment of change and ambiguity.  
  • Ability to perform and interpret needs analyses and translate the findings into actionable plans.
  • Strong business acumen with the understanding of the business as the foundation for driving productivity through people.
  • Strong experience in driving and handling projects through managing multiple stakeholders as well as having good experience in demonstrating ROI and value propositions.
  • Experience with JDE beneficial.
  • Up to 10% travel.
