Total rewards is much more than base pay and incentives. They include everything of value that companies provide its employees, and essential in business and people strategies. In this session, our members will have an opportunity to learn more about how employers are leveraging their current Total Rewards packages to attract, engage and retain employees.

Panelists will discuss some of their strategies and engage with the audience on Total Rewards, including:

Matthew Cromwell

Matthew Cromwell is Vice President Total Rewards of The Lifetime Healthcare Companies, which include Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, Univera Healthcare, Lifetime Benefits Solutions, and MedAmerica. His responsibilities include oversight of the strategy and operations of Corporate Compensation and Benefits, HR Technology and Workforce Analytics. In addition, Mr. Cromwell has oversight of Executive Compensation and HR Governance. Mr. Cromwell joined Excellus BlueCross BlueShield full-time in 2006. Since joining the Company, Mr. Cromwell has held positions of progressive responsibility within the Company and within Human Resources. In his roles, he has focused on utilizing data and project management approaches to attract, engage and retain the organization’s workforce to meet its business objectives. Mr. Cromwell earned a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and an MBA from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester. Matt and his wife, Alicia, reside in Honeoye Falls, NY and have 2 children, William and Isaac.

 

Steve Przybyl

Steve Przybyl is currently in the role of First Vice President- Total Rewards and HR Analytics Director for Five Star Bank.

He is a senior business leader with a diverse background including human resources and finance roles that allows for a unique perspective in assisting organizations in achieving their strategic goals. Steve has strong management skills with a focus on stakeholder collaboration to achieve optimal results.  His areas of expertise include Strategic Planning, Compensation & Benefits, Hospitality, Banking,  Financial Modeling, Investment Strategy, Financial Forecasting, Due Diligence, Pro Forma Financials, and Process Improvement.

Steve is current responsible for compensation and benefits strategy and administration for ~700 employees at Five Star with lines of business including Retail and Commercial Banking, Wealth Management and Insurance.  Five Star is a community bank with a footprint spanning from Western to Central New York.

He has a BA, Economics from University of Buffalo, and a MBA, Finance from the University of Buffalo School of Management

 

Carol Roselle

Carol Roselle is the SVP of First American and her mission is to create a positive and inclusive culture at First American. She is committed to providing the tools colleagues need to grow and flourish in their careers. Carol is inspired by the work her colleagues do every day to make First American the best company to work for and the best company to work with.

Since joining First American in 2013, her hard work and dedication to building an inclusive workplace has resulted in her receiving both national and local recognition. In 2020, she received a Great Place to Work® Leadership Award and was nominated as a finalist for Rochester HR Executive of the Year. In 2016, she was a finalist for the First American’s highest honor, the Chairman’s Award.

Carol lives in Webster with her husband, Chris, and their daughter, Kayla.  They also have a cat, Neo, and six chickens.
