Join us for our 10th annual employment law forum.

NHRA-STL is bringing in multiple dynamic speakers to discuss the importance of compliance in the workplace.

As a reminder, this event is outside of our typical lunch hour, we will provide drinks & snacks during the forum with a happy hour following the event for those who want to mingle afterwards.

Mark Kurkowski, Owner of Kurkowski Consulting and Training, LLC, will deliver a 1 hour workshop around the importance of prevention and policy for issues of domestic violence, stalking and harassment.

Mark retired from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department after 27 years, he has 30 years of experience and training specialized in investigating incidents of intimate partner violence, stalking, harassment and sexual assault. Currently Mark brings awareness and prevention workshops on these issues to the workplace. With the introduction of VESSA, businesses are now obligated to follow the requirements of this legislation.

You can also find Mark as a consultant in the Netflix documentary, "I Am a Stalker", in the episode "Extreme Best Friends".

  • 27% of mass shootings stem from domestic violence
  • Workdays lost due to domestic, sexual violence are worth an estimated $137 Billion

In this session, awareness of VESSA (Victim Economic Safety and Security Act) requirements will be discussed and participation will encourage employee engagement and foster a supportive workplace culture.

With January being Stalking Awareness Month, it's a great time to learn these important policies.

Also bringing their invaluable legal expertise, our friends from McMahon Berger.
