The Mental Health Benefits Gap: Shifting Expectations

The need to support workforce mental health is clearer than ever. Many companies have relied solely on traditional EAP’s to address employee mental health concerns. This presentation will explore the challenges with current EAP models, suggest key points of needed infrastructure to meet increasing and diverse needs of employees and offer concrete action items HR professionals can take to provide a mental health response that really works.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe and compare three evidence-based alternative or complementary interventions that can be utilized to support employee mental health in addition to, or in place of, traditional EAPs.
  2. Understand the limitations of traditional EAP models in addressing contemporary workforce mental health needs (i.e., low engagement, short‑term focus).
  3. Differentiate between reactive, fragmented benefit models and proactive, prevention‑oriented workplace mental health strategies that embed well‑being into everyday work practices.
  4. Identify and develop concrete action steps that can be taken in organizations to increase awareness, trust, and utilization of mental health resources among employees and their dependents.

Recertification credits are pending for this event.

Please note: registration will begin at 7:30AM, program begins at 8AM. The Jack Rabbit Club shares parking with Good Luck; street parking is available as well.
