Creating Career Momentum:

From Architecting Others' Careers to Accelerating Your Own

As HR leaders, you spend your days architecting the professional development, performance frameworks, and career trajectories of your workforce. But in the process of building momentum for the organization, it is remarkably easy to let your own career fall into a state of inertia—relying on default progression rather than deliberate design.

Creating Career Momentum is a highly interactive, 65-minute workshop designed exclusively for HR professionals to turn that strategic focus inward. We will kick off with a 20-minute masterclass on the mechanics of goal-setting, moving beyond standard corporate metrics to identify what actually drives professional energy and impact.

Following the framework presentation, you will step away from the day-to-day noise for a targeted individual reflection sprint to lock in your single, defining goal for 2027. You will then break into intimate, coach-led cohorts to pressure-test your target, map out potential friction points, and identify your "first domino"—the smallest, most immediate action required to break standing inertia. You will leave not with a diluted list of generic resolutions, but with a crystal-clear 2027 objective and the exact next step needed to execute it.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE

- Differentiate Career Momentum from Career Progression: Recognize the difference between passive tenure-based advancement and deliberate, high-velocity career alignment.

- Establish a Singular Focus: Cut through the noise of competing priorities to define one high-impact, defining professional goal for 2027.

- Shift from Lag to Lead Measures: Translate long-term, outcome-based goals into daily or weekly controllable behaviors that guarantee progress.

- Map and Mitigate Friction: Proactively identify internal roadblocks (e.g., burnout, imposter syndrome) and external barriers, developing immediate "if/then" strategies to sustain momentum.

- Identify the "First Domino": Isolate the absolute smallest, most immediate actionable step required to break inertia and initiate tangible progress within 48 hours.
